We believe XML Publisher - now is being renamed to BI Publisher - is a tool that can help customers solve many immediate business needs. We will offer a high level description of what XML Publisher is:

• Oracle XML Publisher / BI Publisher offers JDE EnterpriseOne and PeopoleSoft Enterprise customers the most efficient, scalable reporting solution available. It provides a central architecture for generating and delivering information — both securely and in the right format. Oracle XML Publisher / BI Publisher reduces the high costs associated with the development, customization and maintenance of business documents; while increasing the efficiency of reports management.
• Furthermore, it reduces a company's dependency on third party software systems that are required to format business documents, reducing the complexity of your reporting infrastructure. Utilizing a set of familiar desktop tools such as Adobe Acrobat and Microsoft Office users can create and maintain their own report formats based on data extracts supplied by a multitude of sources.
