Agenda for the June 15th Indiana PeopleSoft/JDE RUG

Hello PeopleSoft/JDE RUG Customer,

The Indiana PeopleSoft/JDE Regional User Group, in affiliation with Quest International, is holding its next member meeting on Thursday June 15th, 2006.

We have a great meeting scheduled for the Indiana PeopleSoft/JDE RUG. The agenda looks great with a quick update from Craig Timer from Oracle and then on to a general session on Data Archiving from Princeton Softech. The afternoon breakouts should also be equally strong with a great customer presentation in the JDE track from Bernie Augenstein and Joe Maloney with the Batesville Casket Company entitled – “Upgrading to 8.10 - Good, Bad, and Ugly”. Finance will see a good “Ask the Expert” session from Craig Timmer with questions submitted in advance from you. For HCM we have Cathy Anderson from Oracle presenting on Talent Management. Jim Ellis from Oracle is joining us to cover PeopleSoft Security for the PeopleTools session.

  • Enterprise HCM: Talent Management - The hottest current trend globally is Talent Management. PeopleSoft’s Enterprise Talent Management focuses on the set of processes which ensure an organizations employees are better aligned with the company’s goals. This session will present how Oracle’s PeopleSoft Enterprise Talent Management plans for current and future products to assist in meeting their Talent Management needs.

  • Enterprise PeopleTools: PeopleSoft Security - Authentication and Authorization – This session details the infrastructure and configuration for implementing authentication and authorization security in the PeopleTools architecture.

  • EnterpriseOne/World – During 2005, Batesville Casket Co. completed a very successful upgrade from JD Edwards OneWorld XE to PeopleSoft 8.10. Based on our post-implementation list of over 100 lessons learned, we will discuss processes that worked well and those which had room for improvement. Items on the list include a FOCUS team for resolving issues, ESU application and communication. The take-away from this session will be a practical list of upgrade guidelines.
